Ariel Gail

Prof. Gail S. Goodman is the Distinguished Professor of Psychology as well as director of the Center for Public Policy Research at the University of California Davis. Her name has been widely praised as a pioneer in the field of witness testimony by children and the eyewitness memory in the context of legal proceedings. Professor Goodman regularly publishes her work and has been awarded many grants and has been honored with many award both international and national. She has collaborated with a variety of organisations and governments across the world on policy and research pertaining to the child victimization of the legal system. She serves as a consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center, formerly it was the Multidisciplinary Interview Center of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She has been a member of numerous professional associations such as those of the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. She has served as head of three divisions (Division Society for Child and Family Policy Practice Division and the Society for Child Policy American Psychology Law Society, and Division Developmental Psychology) and one section (Child Maltreatment) of the American Psychological Association.
